Mairin Balisi recently finished her PhD from UCLA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and she now works as a field school coordinator at the La Brea Tar Pits. Not only is she very knowledgable about things like Dire Wolves and Sabertooth Tigers, she's also just a very enjoyable person to chat with. She stops by to share some Saison Noir from Ohana Brewing and chat about her life, her research, and what the fossil record can tell us about life on earth.
