202 – Exploration with Casey Handmer pt. 1

Casey Handmer (@CJHandmer) has a PhD in Physics from Caltech and currently works at JPL (his views are his own), and he has one of the most engaged minds you will likely ever come across. He knows lots of things about lots of subjects. Just check out his blog to see for yourself. He was nice enough to stop by and chat about traveling, space, the universe, and lots more.

Music at the end from Oranges Band with Ride the Nuclear Wave.

201 – Viscri with Alexu Toader

Viscri is a small village in Northern Romania. Alexu Toader and his wife Mara both lived and worked in the much busier and metropolitan Bucharest, where he was a designer and she was a lawyer. What would compel them to move out into the country? Have all the changes been positive? Alexu was nice enough to sit down and chat about this and more over coffee, Karamalz, and bread with delicious truffle butter he and Mara prepared.

Music at the end from Jamie Drake with Redwood Tree.

199 – Carbon Cowboy with Yoichi Shiga pt. 1

Yoichi Shiga is a fascinating fellow with an interesting career path. From computer animation to environmental science and getting his PhD at Stanford, to being a Carbon Cowboy and working at NASA’s Ames Research center – there’s a lot to go over. He was nice enough to bring some KSA from Fort Point Brewing and talk all about it.

Music at the end from Simulated Sun with The Tannhauser Gate.
