193 – Scientology with Conrad Romo pt. 1

You’ve probably heard plenty about it and maybe even seen a documentary or two, but hear what it’s like to be in Scientology first-hand from writer and salesman Conrad Romo, who was in for nearly 14 years long ago. How has it changed since this? What is the appeal? Find out about all of this and lots more.

  1. Dave,
Became a fan from your appearances on Alison’s podcast. This is my first time downloading an episode of Space Cave. One preliminary observation, which you may or may not find worthy of attention. This episode is just under an hour and requires 101MB of data to download. For comparison, Marc Maron’s WTF is usually about an hour-and-a-half and is unfailingly under 30MB to download, so roughly 20MB/hour or one-fifth as much as yours. This is inconsequential to many people, but to those of us with monthly data caps it adds up fast and really eats into that limited megabyte allowance. I don’t think Maron’s sound quality has ever been an issue or hurt his popularity, so I thought I’d at least bring the issue up with you.

Kind regards and all the best,
    Ed Dixon

    1. Thanks for the headsup on this, Ed. I’ll run it past Dan and see if we can get the file size down. Thanks!
